The Ring is an American horror film from 2002 directed by Gore Verbinski. The production is a remake of a Japanese film which was based on the book by Kôji Suzuki. The Ring won include Saturn Awards for best horror film and best actress (Naomi Watts) and Golden Trailer Awards for best and most original horror film. The screenplay was nominated for a Bram Stoker Award.
